Notes come towards you on a 3D fretboard, in time with the music. Or switch to the tab as a page.
Your tabs
Opens Guitar Pro 3 to 7 files, and MusicXML with tablature. Drop one in the window.
With the song
Play along with a YouTube video of the song, or an audio file of your own.
In sync
Line the tab up with the song once, bar by bar, or let it sync by ear. It remembers.
Slow it down
Change speed in 5% steps without changing the pitch, and loop any bars you drag across.
Keep time
A count-in and a metronome, and a quick test of your speakers' delay so notes land on the beat.
Pro
One payment, yours to keep. Downloads what it needs once you've activated it.
Song parts
Separates the song into vocals, guitar, bass, drums and piano on your computer, so you can turn the guitar down and play it yourself, or hear it alone to learn it.
Amp & effects
Plug your guitar in and play it through amp models and effects in the app, with the input and output of your choice.
Download
Version 0.1. The app updates itself on Windows and Linux; on a Mac it tells you when there's a new version.
Questions
My Mac says the app is from an unidentified developer
The app isn't signed with Apple yet. Open it the first time by right-clicking (or Control-clicking) it in Applications and choosing Open, then Open again. After that it opens as usual.
Windows says it protected my PC
SmartScreen warns about apps it hasn't seen much of yet. Click "More info", then "Run anyway".
Where do the tabs come from?
From you: any Guitar Pro or MusicXML file you have. Luma Frets doesn't sell or download tabs.
How do I use my Pro licence?
After paying you get a licence key by email. In Luma Frets, click Pro in the toolbar, paste the key and click Activate, then download the parts you want.
Does it work offline?
Yes, apart from YouTube videos. Pro checks your licence now and then when you're online, but never stops working because you're offline.
