Privacy

LumaFrets runs on your computer. Your tabs, audio files, songs and settings stay there. There are no accounts, no cookies and no advertising trackers. We count how many people visit, download, keep using and buy LumaFrets, as described below, without knowing who they are.

What the app sends

Song parts are separated on your computer, only from your own audio files, and kept there so a song is separated once. Your music is never uploaded.

What we count

This website counts each page you open, and where you came from (the site that linked here, or the campaign named in the link). Our server counts download clicks, update checks, clicks on Buy and licence activations. Each count keeps its country (worked out from your IP address), and the app's version and operating system where there is one.

To tell visitors apart within a day, each count carries a code made from your IP address, your browser's name and the date, scrambled with a secret key. The code changes every day and can't be turned back into your IP address, and your IP address itself isn't kept. There are no cookies; the website remembers in your browser's tab, until you close it, where you came from and which pages it has counted. The counts are kept by Cloudflare, which runs our server, for three months.

Payments

Pro and themes are sold by Creem, the merchant of record, which handles payment and receipts under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and what you bought, so we can help with your licence.
